Ban (Bauhinia) is considered the birth flower for March. However, many ban trees in Hai Duong city have bloomed since mid-February, covering corners of the sky with brilliant pink colors.

There are a lot of ban trees along Vo Nguyen Giap boulevard and the 62 m road, and in the park of the eastern urban area (opposite to the Xu Dong Cultural Center) and Bach Dang park

Ban is a woody plant, with a rough grey body and many long branches. It blooms in spring, emitting a pleasant fragrance
