Dazzling art show celebrating Hai Duong – Hai Phong merger
The ‘Radiant Hai Phong’ art show was the highlight of a series of events celebrating the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Hai Phong city coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Hai Duong province, the Hai Phong Press and Communications Center, and the Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio-Television Station simultaneously hosted the televised “Radiant Hai Phong” art show at the squares of the Hai Phong Opera House and Hai Duong province’s Xu Dong Cultural Center on June 30 evening.
In attendance at the Hai Phong venue were Secretary of the city Party Committee Le Tien Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee Do Manh Hien, and Chairman of the Hai Duong provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Le Van Hieu, Chairman of the Hai Phong city People's Council Pham Van Lap, and leaders of departments, agencies, and localities of the city and the province were present at the Hai Duong venue, among others.

The program was broadcast live on television and digital platforms of the Hai Phong Press and Communications Center and the Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio-Television Station.
The show featured performances by renowned Vietnamese artists, including People’s Artist Khanh Hoa; Meritorious Artists Phuong Anh, Thuy Dung, Thuy Duong, Thanh Binh, and Van Mon; rapper Double2T – winner of Rap Viet season 3; singers An Thu An and Ha An Huy; top 15 finalists of Miss Earth and top contestants of the Heritage Beauty Pageant.

More than 300 artists and performers from the Hai Phong Contemporary Art Theatre, Hai Phong Traditional Stage Theatre, Hai Duong Cultural and Art Center, Hai Duong Cheo (Traditional Operetta) Theatre, professional art troupes, dance groups, and performance teams also took part at the show.

On grand stages illuminated by giant LED screens resembling the rising sun, the program featured impressive performances. After a documentary titled “Cultural harmony – united for strength”, the two locations showcased a sequence of artistic performances highlighting the richness, historical legacy, culture, and revolutionary tradition of Hai Duong – a land brimming with vitality and resilience at the heart of northern Vietnam’s key economic region.

This was followed by another documentary and captivating musical pieces reflecting Hai Phong’s historic victories to today’s dynamic growth rooted in the city’s proud tradition of “Loyalty and determination to win,” transforming Hai Phong into a major economic hub and a first-class, heroic city in the era of national renewal.

The program reached its climax with the part “Hai Duong – Hai Phong sharing one land, one flow, one future,” interwoven with short documentaries capturing the emotions of local residents about the merger and the shared vision of a new Hai Phong city.

To close the night, the audience was treated to spectacular fireworks displays amidst the rousing music at both locations.

Delegates and tens of thousands of citizens and visitors gathered at the Hai Phong Opera House and the Xu Dong Cultural Center, while countless others followed the live broadcast. All shared a collective moment of pride, igniting the flame of aspiration, hope, and determination to carry forward the spirit of “Loyalty and determination to win” to make the new Hai Phong city rise alongside the nation in the new era.
