Thanh Ha lychees irradiated before export
Thanh Ha lychees underwent irradiation to ensure quality before export to high-standard markets.
In the 2025 lychee season, Ameii Vietnam JSC., Red Dragon Co., Ltd., and Nhan Hoa Food Processing Co., Ltd. were three major companies exporting Thanh Ha lychees in the former Hai Duong province (now Hai Phong city) to demanding markets such as the UK, the US, Australia, and Japan.
Among them, Ameii Vietnam was the largest exporter, with 1,000 tons of lychees, while the other companies shipped between 100 and 300 tons.
Before export, Thanh Ha lychees were transported to Ha Noi for irradiation using ionizing radiation to eliminate insects, larvae, and eggs, preventing the spread of harmful species, ensuring food safety, and meeting quarantine requirements. These steps were taken to comply with strict import standards of the mentioned high-end markets.
