Hai Phong seeks stronger diplomatic support for investment cooperation
Many ambassadors and deputy ambassadors expressed their desire to explore opportunities and expand investment cooperation with Hai Phong city to contribute to its development.

Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau hosted a courtesy meeting with ambassadors and deputy ambassadors of Peru, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Bangladesh, Laos, Malaysia, South Africa, Panama, Cuba, and the Philippines in Vietnam at the city Convention and Performance Center on July 15 afternoon.
On behalf of the city’s leadership, Secretary Chau expressed sincere appreciation for the interest and efforts of the foreign diplomatic representatives in promoting the friendship between Vietnam and their respective countries, and between Hai Phong and those countries in particular.

He expressed hope that the ambassadors and deputy ambassadors would continue to serve as a bridge to introduce Hai Phong's favorable investment and business environment to enterprises, investors, and economic organizations in their countries.
With its strategic location, modern seaport system, and role as a logistics hub in northern Vietnam, Hai Phong expected the foreign diplomatic missions to support the strengthening of cooperation in the logistics sector, which is considered a key pillar in economic ties among countries. The city is committed to providing support and favorable conditions in terms of investment procedures, land, infrastructure, and workforce for foreign investors.
Regarding the expansion of local exchanges and cooperation, Hai Phong seeks to establish and broaden friendly ties with localities of the countries. This would be done through high-level exchange visits, sharing of urban management experiences, and development initiatives in various sectors.

The city is also open to co-hosting business connecting events, trade and cultural promotion exhibitions; promoting joint training programs, student exchanges, scholarships, and short-term courses for the city officials…
Thanking the city’s leaders for their warm reception, the ambassadors and deputy ambassadors expressed their strong impressions of Hai Phong’s dynamic development. They voiced confidence that after merger, the city would have new momentum for further growth and expressed their desire to explore opportunities and expand investment cooperation with Hai Phong to contribute to its development.
