ABAC III international guests enjoy Lan Ha Bay
The excursion to Lan Ha Bay in Hai Phong city left a strong impression on the spouses of ABAC III delegates.

The spouses of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) members embarked on a sightseeing trip to Lan Ha Bay in Hai Phong on July 17 as a sidelines activity of the ongoing 3rd ABAC meeting in the city.

The journey began with a ride from the mainland to Cat Hai special zone via Cat Ba cable car route, which holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest cable car tower at 214.8 m. From above, the guests enjoyed a panoramic view of the stunning Lan Ha Bay.

Next, the group boarded a cruise to explore the bay and admire its unspoiled limestone islands with unique formations. A highlight of the trip was passing through Cai Beo fishing village, known as the oldest fishing village in Vietnam, with archaeological artifacts dating back 4,000 to 7,000 years.

The excursion also offered a special culinary experience amid breathtaking natural scenery, featuring local island specialties and an on-board tea party.
Flavia Bueno from Peru said that although she had long heard of Lan Ha Bay, this was her first visit. She was struck by its majestic beauty and the efforts to preserve the marine environment.

"I’ll definitely tell my friends about this wonderful place, its landscapes, people, and culture. I really hope to return someday,” said Flavia Bueno.
This activity aimed to showcase Hai Phong city’s tourism and cultural potential, world natural heritage, and scenic landscapes to leading businesses in the region and around the world, with the goal of luring more international tourist arrivals.

Located within the Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago World Natural Heritage complex, Lan Ha Bay boasts pristine, tranquil beauty with hundreds of islands and a rich, diverse ecosystem.
