Hai Phong and China’s Pacific Construction Group to strengthen cooperation
The business scope of Pacific Construction Group aligns well with Hai Phong’s investment attraction priorities, including bridge, railway, road, seaport, and logistics projects.

Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau received and held talks with leaders of the China-based Pacific Construction Group, led by its founder Yan Jiehe, on July 17 afternoon.
Secretary Le Tien Chau warmly welcomed the leadership of Pacific Construction Group to Hai Phong to explore cooperation and investment opportunities. He congratulated the group on its strong growth as one of the world’s top 500 enterprises and wished them a successful and fruitful working visit to Vietnam in general and Hai Phong in particular.

At the meeting, Secretary Chau briefed the delegation on the city’s recent development; key socio-economic achievements; geopolitical, economic, and infrastructure potential; and the development of local industrial parks and economic zones.
Chau informed the group that Hai Phong had already prepared a portfolio of projects inviting investment from Pacific Construction Group and expressed hope that the group’s leadership would soon conduct thorough studies and arrive at concrete decisions. He assigned the Department of Construction to act as the point of contact with the group, under the direction of Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau.

Pacific Construction Group’s key areas of operation, such as bridge, railway, road, seaport, and logistics projects, are highly compatible with Hai Phong’s investment orientation.
Yan Jiehe expressed deep admiration for Hai Phong’s development and potential following the city’s recent merger with Hai Duong province. He introduced the group’s major strengths in fields including bridge and road works, railway infrastructure, offshore wind power, smart city development, waste treatment, and water resources.
Yan voiced strong interest in investing in Hai Phong and enhancing long-term, comprehensive cooperation between Pacific Construction Group and the city, with the aim of materializing this partnership through concrete projects in the near future.
