Hai Duong province now has more than 21,000 businesses with total registered capital exceeding 250 trillion VND.
Hai Duong province recorded 1,300 new businesses established in the first six months of 2025, a surge of 30.8% year on year, with a total registered capital of 10 trillion VND, according to the Department of Finance.
The new businesses were formed across almost all sectors, with the highest numbers in transportation, logistics, wholesale and retail, construction, information and communications technology, and manufacturing and processing.
During the same period, 240 businesses in the province were dissolved, up 52%; 970 suspended operations, a rise of 15.2%; and 400 resumed operations, an increase of 12.3%.
Hai Duong now has more than 21,000 businesses with total registered capital exceeding 250 trillion VND. The province aims to increase the number of new businesses in 2025 by 10% compared to 2024 (2,000 companies).
The rise in the number of newly-established businesses is attributed to economic recovery and growing confidence among entrepreneurs in the province’s development prospects and investment environment.
Since the beginning of the year, Hai Duong has streamlined many administrative procedures related to business operations. Support policies such as tax and land rent exemption and reduction, improved access to credit, production and business premises, and startup training have continued to foster confidence and momentum for businesses’ investment and development.
