A Central delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, inspected storm response efforts at Ngoc Hai fishing port in Do Son ward, Hai Phong city on July 21 morning.
Ngoc Hai fishing port is a sheltering site for numerous fishing boats from Hai Phong and neighboring localities.

In recent days, local authorities have ramped up public communication and promptly taken measures in line with directives from Central bodies, the city Party Committee, and the city People's Committee.
As a result, by the morning of July 21, 166 boats with 556 crew members had anchored at Ngoc Hai fishing port. At Hong sluice, there were 30 boats and 105 people, and at Muoi sluice, 21 boats and 36 people were sheltering.

The city has intensified awareness campaigns to keep fishermen and local residents informed and prepared for the storm.
Agencies and units in Do Son ward have reviewed resources and are ready with personnel, equipment, and materials for storm response following the “four on-the-spot” principle. A total of 671 personnel, 37 vehicles, 36 boats and motorized vessels, lift trucks, cranes, sand, rocks, and other supplies are on standby.

After the inspection, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that this is a strong storm with complex developments and fast movement, so local authorities must closely monitor the situation, accurately assess the storm’s danger, and avoid complacency.
He instructed maintaining round-the-clock duty shifts and using updated forecasts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting to make timely decisions.

The Deputy Prime Minister called on Hai Phong to race against time, intensify public awareness campaigns, urge residents to move to safe shelters, and realize plans to protect 75 key locations of dikes, embankments, and vulnerable sluices.
Communes and wards were told to coordinate closely with one another in emergency response efforts and to fully mobilize all forces, especially the military and police, to evacuate people from high-risk areas and ensure absolute safety for residents and their property before, during, and after the storm to minimize storm-related damage to the greatest extent possible.
The city and local authorities must pay special attention to vulnerable sections of dikes, embankments, and high-risk landslide zones to take effective preventive and responsive measures.
