The Civil Defense Command of Hai Phong has issued its latest announcement stating that the city officially lifted the sea ban starting at 7 am on July 23.
As Storm No. 3 (internationally called Wipha) had dissipated, Hai Phong city officially lifted the sea ban from 7 am on July 23, with all activities returning to normal, including offshore departures for vessels; aquaculture and seafood harvesting operations; fishing and other activities in estuaries, coastal areas, and offshore waters.
Services on Cat Hai – Phu Long cable car line, as well as tourism and entertainment activities on coastal and island areas, have also been reinstated.
Earlier, to prevent and minimize potential damage from Storm No. 3, the city Civil Defense Command suspended all vessel departures and halted aquaculture, fishing, and other marine-related activities in estuarine, coastal, and offshore areas.
The city also temporarily shut down Cat Hai – Phu Long cable car services and suspended tourism and entertainment activities in coastal and island areas starting from 5 pm on July 20.
